So a vision is an invitation to a deeper interaction with God. Sometimes you have a simple vision but when you go into God’s presence to ask him what it means, he talks for TWO HOURS STRAIGHT and tells you the most profound things! Treat a vision as an invitation, but let me go on to share some more of what happened to me this one time.
So like I said before I saw a throne in heavenly places and somehow I knew it belonged to ME. So next time in prayer I determined to go explore and understand more. When I did this I saw it again since it anyway was still stirring so freshly in my heart, and then when I sat on it my point of view turned around and instead of seeing the chair on a hill I saw what the chair overlooked and WOW, I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED! This throne was seated on a heavenly place, elevated on a heavenly mountainside but it was overlooking the valley that was MY LIFE.
I Have a Good Inheritance!
First I saw a valley of what looked like farmland and a wonderful scene in front of me spreading out for a few miles. I soon noticed there was dome of shimmering light, like a soap bubble in color, that was a covering of protection over all that had to do with me, and so much activity all over! The scene was maybe as large as a village and yes, looked like a farming area full of fields under careful and fruitful cultivation. I saw right up to the edge of that shimmering dome and the cultivated land was green and productive right to the border. I soon understood that I could ‘manage’ ‘my life’ from this ‘seat of authority’ like a prince overseeing a small town or shire. I felt this must be Psalm 16, where David said:

5 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
—
The Lord then in fact gave me scepter to rule my land by decree! It is the Sword, it is a Key, it is his WORD, but in this setting his Word manifested as a scepter. This means the war is done! I won! Now I rule without all the battle! “Let this BE! That must Go! Blessing come!” From here I could pray over my land by decree!
So no only are my life boundaries, the things He has assigned for me to do and have are all in a protective dome of his covering and everything is accessible and I can manage problems, invaders, wasps, rats, or any disorder from my vantage point by making decrees over my lot, my land, my portion, my life in Christ basically. I’ll explain that more in a moment I hope. But what am I saying simply? Pray for your life! Pray for everything that concerns you to be fruitful, set in right order, to be blessed! That’s all this means really! Invite God to bless your inheritance, the wonderful one he entrusted to you! If you can rise up in mature authority you will find you can rule by decree, once you know God’s word is already done, it is already YES, it is already granted. But we have to grow into that understanding sometimes.
When the Inheritance is a Wasteland
But anyway before I share more of what I encountered in that vision, let me first share that I soon learned I could lead other people to ask the Lord to show them THEIR thrones, to sit on their seats of authority and God would show them THEIR LIVES and they could share what God was showing them of how he saw their ‘lot,’ their inheritance. But I was often shocked and saddened to hear people tell me, that unlike mine which was in full production, cultivated and very active, some people described what they saw as a dead rocky wasteland—one person only saw a tiny patch of grass that remained alive and maybe a bush where they stood with Jesus—but everything else had already died! She said, yes, she used to be a good Christian but fell away and went into the world and Jesus was now showing her that her works, her life was carnal and lifeless, but she was still clinging to life and Jesus was by her side. Jesus was showing her he wanted her to repent and go back and do the works she had done at first! How sobering.
Slaves, Orphans or Sons?
So I must just digress a moment and explain that not all people who are ‘Christians’ are sons of God, some are still living like slaves. Galatians 4:1-7 explains this painful truth. You may be an heir in truth but until you reach ‘maturity’ you are just like a slave in the household. But Jesus died to free us from the law and the basic principles of the world so we can become adopted as sons and receive the FULL RIGHTS of HEIRS. ‘Slaves’ cannot enjoy these rights even if they have been offered this same gospel, they cannot receive it until they turn to God with sincere hearts in spirit and in truth.
The gospel is so often spoken of as an inheritance, not a religion, not a doctrine, but an inheritance. This means it is only enjoyed by those who are real sons, not those who claim they are but in fact are still living like slaves. This is a mystery but let me say it this way. I know many Christians who are not sons of God as much as they are orphans of God. They cry themselves to sleep, they have no one to wash their dirty faces for them, they have no one providing for them, playing with them, teaching them the family business or giving them identity as rightful family members of a glorious and well-to-do family clan. They are as they think on their own, taking care of themselves, living lonely and alone YET calling themselves Christians, Children of a loving God, the very beloved of Christ. How can this be? Are you a son or more of an orphan? Have you discovered Jesus in a personal intimate way, or been able to interact with the Father as, well, as a dad! Many people called ‘Christians’ are sadly still living like mere slaves and orphans. Don’t let this be you!
Loving the Image?
Or let’s say you marry a beautiful woman, and take her fabulous photo in a stunning wedding dress and then lay that photo next to you on the pillow in bed and talk to it, caress it, kiss it good night … all the while the REAL WOMAN is standing by the door of the bedroom frustrated by your fawning over her photo while you ignore the real person standing there right next to you? You see idolatry takes several forms, but it is always an offense to God, an abomination to his person —but it is also simply unnecessary! God is already with us, why do we need a stand-in substitute God, a plastic Jesus to give our love and affection to? God hates idols of any form—of anything in heaven, on earth or under it in a cave!—but I think mostly because it robs him of your true love and affection, in spirit and in truth.
But then you may run into those guys yelling at you saying, “Oh no, we don’t need tall that! We have the Bible, we love the Bible, we believe the Word of God in the Bible.” Sure you may think you do, many people have what they think is the ‘word of God’ in their Bibles but in fact the Bible tells them about a living way, a living Spirit, true worshipers of God who worship in Spirit and in truth—and when that Spirit actually shows up!!—they hate it, they shut it down and drive those people flowing in it out of their congregations! How can both be true?
They have a Bible, or at least a version of it that they believe in, the version they created in the image of their own ideas, they have something but in fact it is so often merely man’s carnal version of Divine truth, a counterfiet but one they can control and use for their own religious rule, in pride, in selfishness. This is not how the people of God do anything, let alone handle the word of Truth, which can humble you and save your eternal souls, if indeed you use it correctly!
Somehow some people never get beyond the paper pages of the book or the black ink of the text or the man-made doctrines they crafted from it, which in all honestly were meant to lead people into a living, interactive relationship with God—but some never leave the material form to find that living Word it so clearly talks about.
The Pharisees are in fact still here in our day and age God once told me. They are still right here! And they love the physical form over the spiritual truth it represents. They love the outside appearance of things, but they reject and despise the inner, invisible spiritual truth of things. There is nothing new under the sun! And you can be sure their ‘inheritance’ is not a fruitful cultivated landscape but a dry, ruined, wasteland. This is what God is trying to heal!
So what can we say to such stubborn disbelievers? The Bible is a great work of God. It is sublime in its genius, the very thoughts of God written down for us to see and read! But it is in fact NOT GOD itself. God is in THREE persons, not FOUR. The Bible is not the 4th part of the Trinity!
It is confusing when they conflate the written word with the Living Word, but its OK to be confused, we learn, if we remain humble and teachable.
But some are not and are argumentative and ignorant. They only want to see things on the surface and do not want to be confronted with a real, living God who they cannot control or manipulate! So eventually we must simply say, Leave them. They cannot be convinced. But the truth cannot be hidden for long; all things hidden will soon be revealed.
The Purifying Fire
What I mean is some people are religious and their spiritual lives are DEAD, God would show it as a spiritual wasteland in reality, but they pretend with ritual and ceremony, dedication to idols and dead religion acting like their life is alive, fruitful and honoring to God—but it is a counterfeit, their life is in fact actually DEAD. How tragic.
Fake people, posers, pretenders gravitate towards idolatry maybe because a fake God cannot challenge their pretend lifestyle. Many people will not tolerate being confronted with a REAL GOD because HE IS a consuming fire and their lives will be burned up, losing all the pretense they have lived for. In fact we ALL must face this reality. If we go to God now and let him burn away the chaff of our sin, our ignorance, our pride and rebellion, then he will also be a balm to us and heal us, restoring us to our rightful character as his dearly beloved children. IF WE DO NOT go to him now to burn away our unfruitful works of darkness, if we wait until the day of reckoning—we will only suffer, and suffer.
Someone said I am only bitter saying these things, and it’s not the truth. I’m sorry if it offends you, some people only want small talk and convenient truths. But in fact I am still quoting Scripture to you, real scripture that false shepherds never quote for fear of losing the sheep they are trying to fleece! People also will no longer tolerate real truth and gather preachers to themselves to tell them smooth words and false hopes. And in fact these thing I share are the things JESUS actually tells you when you actually let him speak his heart and mind to you. He is a lamb but note, he is ALSO A LION.
And the truth hurts sometimes. It surely sets us free but sometimes first it just makes us mad! Or why do you think they wanted to kill Jesus from his very first recorded sermon? Why were ALL the apostles jailed, exiled, killed—or all three? They were preaching the Good News! Were these men just not preaching news that was good enough? Why kill them unless their ‘good news’ made some people very angry first!
Friendly Fire
I need to be honest with you. Following God is not easy sometimes. Not only do we suffer hardship and even abuse from evil impostors, but God himself even promises to chastise those he accepts as sons—yes he does this himself!
Truthfully I tell you we need to learn to TRUST THAT FIRE. No one needs to be taught to trust a feather pillow, am I right? But people do need to be taught that God is a consuming fire yet it is a purifying fire, a re-birthing pain, a cleansing fire. If we can go to God now, he can restore our wasted lives and we can bloom again. He can bring streams into a desert wasteland and cultivate life where before there was only briers and wild animals.
So all I really want to say is that God is already at the door of your heart, knocking, waiting for you to put your phone down and let him in! Talk to him like you once did! Don’t let that evil blessing of a cell phone rob you of the eternal gift of Immanuel, of fellowship with the Divine, of intimacy with the REAL JESUS. He is waiting and is more eager than you are to spend some quality private time together.
Take my advice and put the phone down—spend some quality time with Jesus. And let him reveal your trust condition, then heal, restore, purify and cultivate your soul that he loves so well. Trust his fire, and let your guard down and let him tell you where you truly stand.
Exhortation to Do Good
Friends, let me end by saying this: Be real with God, don’t pretend. Don’t love a statue. Don’t give your love and affection to an idol. Read the Book but give your love to the Author of the Book! There are sheep and goats, discern which is which, see who is who, and don’t waste your energy trying to convert a wolf to be a sheep. They don’t need your loving kindness as much as they need sharp words of rebuke. If you feel you cannot give it to them, don’t pretend they are sheep, just pray for the Lord to do it himself. Jesus was not kind to the Pharisees but insulted them, sometimes very rudely. Not everyone can hear a pure word of prophecy from the Lord. Some people have hardened their hearts instead. Pray for them. But don’t waste your time talking with them or trying to convince them. Free the slaves, encourage the orphans, pray to restore their ruined wastelands … but dealing with wolves is a different thing altogether.

Wow, I still didn’t tell you why this vision of my Throne over My Inheritance came back to my mind this week after so many years! I still didn’t even get a chance to tell you when I looked behind me to understand what hill I was on that I saw at the top of this mountain !!!!!!!! THE FATHER ON A HUGE THRONE !!!!!! and his towering figure was sitting on a seat of truly cosmic power, my throne was somehow a delegated seat of authority under his power, and WATER was gushing out from under his chair down to me and well, everyone on his holy mountain … I didn’t get to share that part yet! Well, I just did, but I will explain it in more detail next time, I hope!
